Wilmarth Ickes, 37, foster son of Secretary Harold Ickes, was found shot dead in his Winnetka home. A 38 caliber pistol lay by the body, caretaker Erick Magnuson said the death appeared self-inflicted. Ickes was treasurer and principal owner of General Printing Co. in Chicago. Secretary Ickes was en route from Washington, D C to the scene.
