A Mexican woman arrested for snipping at American marines drew a revolver during arrest and fired until her gun was emptied. Marines escaped unharmed. she was court martialed and sentenced to six months, then released by General said to back any woman who fights for her country.
Thousands of suffragettes from across the country filled Washington to press for the constitutional amendment granting women the vote. They paraded along Pennsylvania Avenue and visited the Capitol, presenting petitions to each congressman and urging support for immediate action.

Dennis OBrien who had a serious operation about ten days ago at Holy Cross hospital has now recovered enough to be removed to his home today. His many friends will be glad to see him on the streets again.
