A Trans continental and West Airway skyliner crashed nose first ten miles south of Pittsburgh killing three crew members and ten passengers. Witnesses said the plane appeared to struggle before nose diving into a hillside eight miles from downtown.
Madrid reports a second major defeat for ten thousand Italian troops as the southern insurgent army resumes advance toward treacherous mountains. An airliner crash near Pittsburgh at 6 45 p m EST killed several and injured others. passengers included B J Fleming Fr of Kansas City and R Lewars Jr of Kansas City among New York and Chicago residents. Crew members F Bohnet and H E Warwick survived and were identified. the plane departed at 3 25 p m and was 20 minutes overdue.
