A Duluth notice reports a deadly earth avalanche at Norman mine three miles from the city. Thirty miners at the main shaft were buried under dirt and rock, with five below on the hill narrowly escaping. Rescue work began immediately and will continue until the bodies are reached, with an estimated heavy financial loss to owners in the near area.
Bethany France March 13 A flyer named Duison carried four passengers on a trail lighter than air and set a record time of seventeen and one half minutes over a twenty kilometer course amid the largest crowd at Aviation Park. Passengers listed include Mo Marx M Le Nom M Groid and M Dupont, French press reporters.
Tex March 13 An outlaw named Sancho Alvarado shot and killed Customs Inspector Chapman at the port. A band captured and handed him to American authorities. Chapman was beloved. authorities plan to hang Alvarado after trial as a severe response.
