Dimond of Alaska seconded Roosevelt’s renomination and praised the New Deal era as Alaska delegates pushed for continued support. The Philadelphia convention planned a large rally fund drive with Roosevelt’s speech to be broadcast to thousands.
Justice Daniel W. O'Donogue of the DC Supreme Court dismissed the sanity proceeding against Marion Zioncheck at the request of assistant district corporation counsel T. Gillespie Walsh. Zioncheck had been admitted to a Townson Maryland private hospital for a definite period of treatment, with his wife and sister reporting suitable arrangements.

J E Snyder, a former Oklahoma physician, was held on $25,000 bond after arraignment on charges of sending an extortion note to the Will Rogers family. He allegedly demanded $1000 from Mrs Betty Blake Rogers for a manuscript purportedly reflecting on the early life of the famed cowboy.
The department of interior announces a large shipment from Seattle aboard the Oduna of the Alaska Line. Six hundred sheep and forty horses will sail Tuesday to Mata nuska colonists, the largest consignment since the colony’s founding, with stock purchased near Yakima.
San Francisco June 27 An extra dividend of fifteen cents per share along with the regular quarterly dividends of fifteen cents will be paid by the Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Company on August first to stockholders of record July 10th. The extra is the usual quarterly amount paid.
