Weather Today in Alaska Clouds Rain and Cold Snap

Cloudy conditions prevail across most of Alaska with rain along the Seward Peninsula to Barrow and Cordova to Prince Rupert. Temperatures are seasonable for most areas but Barrow dropped four degrees below freezing last night. Atmospheric depressions linger over the Arctic Ocean and Gulf of Alaska while interior high pressure remains. Nome recorded a high of 63 and a low of 50 yesterday.

Brill Crew Leaves Nome for Kougar River Drilling

A drilling outfit of five men and 14 tons of supplies departed Nome yesterday by tramway with a new improved plane drill. They head for the Kougar River to drill for J. J. Keenan starting near the mouth of Course Gold Creek and moving along the Songarok River. Agent Harnish said a telegram reported the S. S. Dellwood fogbound about fifty miles from Teller and not due in Nome until early tomorrow morning.
