Geneva January 29 The official Japanese spokesman said China invited Japanese officials to confer on a Sino Japanese accord for China’s economic and financial development. The aim includes first a common drive against communism in China and second expanding China’s market for Japanese goods through Chinese purchasing power.
Delegate A J Dimond urged the House Appropriations Committee to block tolls on the Richardson Highway arguing no penalties exist for violators. He backed favorable talk on the International Highway. Col. OHison of the Alaska Railroad dismissed the road as a dream, noting rail transport remains essential now.
