Duncan Macdonald Candle Dies in Seattle
Duncan Macdonald a 59 year old candle mine operator died at Seattle General Hospital Monday night. Funeral services are planned for Wednesday with burial in Hillsdale Michigan. Surviving daughter Mary 12 attends school in Grand Rapids Michigan. He moved to Seattle from Nome for medical treatment. Hospital visitors included L A Sundquist O F Weinart Ira D Orton Jim Robbins and the Lomen boys among others. A telegram from Alaska Weekly requested notification of A Polet and Charley Kennedy.

Scott C. Bone aged 75 died at his Santa Barbara home Monday night of a heart attack. The former Alaska governor served 1921 to 1925 under Harding after a lengthy newspaper career and was a Hoover supporter at the 1928 Republican Convention in Chicago. He leaves two daughters and five sons.
