Eskimos Near Starvation Report From Point Barrow

Dr. Henry Greist said about 500 Eskimos on the Arctic rim were on the verge of actual starvation with one native dead and others eating shoes skins and tundra meat. Nome City Council Debates Warehouse Move and Liquor Revenue

Nome City Council met in regular session with all members present. Soviet fliers leave Juneau for Fairbanks on long hop

Future Airplane Industry Bright Says Committee

Diesel aircraft engines backed for long range planes

The report states diesel engines have a definite place in aviation for fuel economy on long range aircraft and that NACA engineers will continue work on the problem.
