Miss Caroline Clausen Resigns From Kitchen Matron Post
Miss Caroline Chasen, our kitchen matron, resigns due to illness and will return to the States. She departs on the Admiral Farragut in April, reaching Seattle around the fourteenth where her cousin Miss Olow Letphatrom of Minneapolis will escort her to Chicago. Miss Clausen has served over ten years, shaping many students in cooking and kitchen economics. Dora Miller, her pupil, now leads in cooking with notable skill, while other staff assist in meal planning. Among passengers on the Admiral Watson on the 23rd were Laurence Kelly of the Agricultural Station and Dr. Roberts, with Mr. Marlow and Mr. and Mrs. Worley from the Radio Station sailing from Wood Island.
