Fourth of July fireworks delight Kodiak children
In C News Letter ER, a July Fourth celebration in Kodiak featured children in fireworks, races, prizes, and a beach excursion by the K V O launch. A boy was treated for a rusty nail while the day ended with return home in rain and exhausted joy. Lucy M. Mattson notes the event memory. Separately, two new matrons for the Orphanage aboard the Watson were welcomed, with Mrs Kirkendall’s prior Denver meeting indicating her forthcoming role.
