Mrs Rhoda Gaches of LeConner Washington left for home January 29 after helping in the Get bout effort. She conducted the L T Lo meeting, aided workers, taught Bible readings to children, organized lace and flower making, and mended garments. Her cheerful help with meals and emergencies was valued, and she left wishing to return.
The article recalls an extended Christmas spirit in a community as children and workers organized gifts before the December steamer arrivals. Kids made sewing bags, mittens, wristlets, and clothes pin Baya while older girls crafted dainty gifts. boys made doll cradles and balls. Gifts emphasized handmade care over monetary value.
