The Napa River Bridge, known as the Southern Crossing, is a $11 million concrete span nearly a half mile long built south of Napa from Imola Avenue toward SR 121. It will finish this year but no approaches will be built until at least 1979 due to funding cuts from the oil boycott.

New Napa Community Classes Start This Week
Napa area offers several short courses this week. Getting the Job You Want and Assertive Management begin with 7 pm Thursday sessions at Napa High School and Vintage High School respectively, taught by Gus Kelperis and Dr. Peter Van Auken. An auto brakes class meets 7 to 10 pm Thursdays starting Jan 27 in Napa High School shop under the Regional Occupational Program. A cardiac rehabilitation workshop for health professionals runs Feb 13–14 at the Veterans Home Grant Hall in Yountville, with a roster of physicians researchers and nurses from St. Helena Hospital UC Davis and other institutions guiding topics on heart disease care nutrition and stress management. EOPS Aids Open House and Vallejo Satellite at Solano
