Kingwood youth drowns at Cheat River swimming hole
A Kingwood youth Gary Sigley 18 drowned yesterday afternoon at the Log Dump swimming hole on the Cheat River near Macomber. Brad Keener found the body about 5:30 p.m. as rescuers, sheriff deputies, and residents rushed to the scene. Sigley was wading when he slipped from a ledge into deep water. Sheriff Cecil R. Strawser said an investigation is underway.

Flemington Hires First Police Officer Under CETA
