Regular Senior Citizens meeting in Parkvien area at 1 30 p m at the Church of the Nazarene invites all seniors. Christmas Bazaar at Preston County Education Center runs 9 a m to 9 p m with refreshments and an electric tree display through December.
NACNPCA and NRC state radiation from ionization detectors is negligible. A detector near a person eight hours daily yields far less annual exposure than a round trip cross country flight. Experts urge installation and home escape planning as the priority for reducing fire deaths.
GRAFTON The Wickwire Extension Homemakers met at the Clubhouse with Mrs Charles Watkins hosting. President Mrs George Flohr called the meeting to order. Members shared thankfulness, reports were approved, a book review on One Small Candle was given, and plans for a December 18 Christmas dinner with gift exchange were made. Visitors and members attended, with devotions and a lesson on The Art of Making Do concluding the meeting.
Lt. Marshall E. Gesner of the Salvation Army and Fire Chief Bill Workman announce the start of the 1976 Toys for Tots drive. The fire department will collect and repair toys for distribution to area children through the Salvation Army. Bring toys to the main street fire station. Webster Senior Citizens met November 18 at the Community Center for a program including group singing and a reading on the first Thanksgiving by Mrs. Emma Boylen and a humorous piece by Pearl Felton. A turkey dinner followed with Boylen giving the invocation. Felton led the business meeting and plans were made for the next gathering with a covered dish dinner and a special Christmas program at a date to be announced. Participants included Mr. and Mrs. James Moats and many local members.
Mark Sergent of Putnam County earned a national award at the 42nd Annual National Junior Horticultural Association convention in King of Prussia Pennsylvania. NJHA incentives include youths 15 to 21 in horticulture education and leadership. Zimmerman invites inquiries to start a WV chapter.
GRAFTON November 17 junior leaders meet at Anna Jarvis to plan a bake sale November 27 at J C Penny s at 10 a m to fund an exchange trip likely to Town. December 15 they will carol in Blueville starting 6 30 p m returning by 8 p m for refreshments and a dance with Kim Sturm chairing refreshments and invites for one guest.

Susie Bruner a Grafton High senior is named November Student of the Month by the Grafton Business and Professional Women's Club. She is National Honor Society Spanish Club and band member, with sports and homecoming queen honors. She plans to study special education at Fairmont State College.
