Thornton neighbors John Morgan and his mother Mabel Morgan escaped a morning blaze that gutted their two story rental home. Fire chief Leonard Myers said the fire began about 6 15 and the Morgans were treated at Grafton City Hospital with Mrs Morgan admitted and her son possibly released.

Masontown residents injured in two-vehicle crash on Lee Kun Road
Two Masontown residents suffered injuries Sunday afternoon when a 1973 Yamaha motorcycle hit a car on Lee Kun Road. Driver Robert H. Tabron 69 of Masontown was in a 1985 Mercury Comet with $100 damage. Lyndon J. Lyons 24 remained hospitalized with a broken leg at West Virginia University Hospital Morgantown. a 10-year-old Masontown boy, a passenger on Lyons motorcycle, was treated and released. Police continue investigation.
