Public hearing on redistricting set for 7 p.m. at Taylor County Courthouse
Tonight the County Commission will hold a public hearing on a redistricting plan approved last month. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Taylor County Courthouse. A separate Clarksburg report notes Leroy Stanley, 28, was treated for minor injuries after a crash that killed Okey W. Carson, 77, and Hazel Carson, 61, at U.S. 50 and Davisson Run Road.

Unemployment claims rise in Grafton and statewide
In the week ending December 3 the Grafton office logged 252 unemployment claims, up 56.5 percent from two weeks earlier, with 66 initial and 186 continued claims. Statewide claims rose 24.8 percent, Kingwood leading growth at 286 claims, a 101.4 percent two week jump.
