NorthWestern Energy gets interim rate hike approval in Montana
Montana regulators approved an interim increase of 92.2 million dollars for NorthWestern Energy for electricity and gas, with a potential rebate if final costs fall short. The five member PSC noted the move tempers bills as the utility pursues a larger 170 million dollar rate request. Electric customers using 750 kWh monthly would pay about 134.28 more over the year, with gas base rates rising 5.76 annually amid monthly adjustments.
