Police arrested four people in connection with Vice President Hum phrey’s San Francisco visit after a telephone bomb threat at KGO and during a labor center meeting. A 31 year old locksmith was jailed, Stephen A Rivera faced bomb threat charges, and others were charged with inciting to riot battery and interfering with police. John Beck II and George Ball were among the others involved in the overall incident.
The Montana Department of Health reports a rising probability of a major influenza outbreak. It notes 28 new flu cases in the past week, total 1 967 for the year, with Hong Kong flu strain likely origin.
