Butte Man Pleads Guilty to Firing Shots at House
Butte resident Conner Tex Webster, 22, admitted firing gunshots into a house on Hummingbird Lane on March 7, wounding no one but prompting a plea to a lesser charge. Montana gets 2.7 million grant to expand Fort Harrison cemetery
The Department of Veterans Affairs grants Montana up to 2,777,421 to expand the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison. The project funds 300 crypts 880 columbarium niches 500 cremains sites plus landscaping and irrigation. The state will also be reimbursed 349,911 for outer burial receptacles fabrication and delivery. The cemetery serves more than 22,000 veterans and eligible family members in the region and aims to put the facility on par with other state cemeteries.

Butte Drug Ring Leader Sentenced Amid Meth and Fentanyl Case
A Whitehall man James Andrew Stringari 52 was sentenced to 16 years and eight months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release for trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl as part of a large Butte Helena ring. He was found guilty in April of conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute. Co defendants Fuentes and White received 30 and 15 years respectively. Fuentes was found in Anaheim California and was supplying drugs through a Whitehall residence. The case showed Stringari acted as point person between leaders and dealers, coordinating drug and weapon shipments across Butte and Helena.
