Morison Knudsen Co Inc said it won a 20 year contract to mine coal at a new surface mine near Hardin Montana. Westmoreland Resources awarded the deal valued at over 100 million dollars. The low sulfur coal will be mined at Sarpy Creek at four million tons annually with deliveries starting in 1974 to a 115 car train unit bound for J Paul Minn for use by four Midwestern electric plants.
