OHP in Seattle reports pilots Don Moyle and Cecil A Allen may attempt another non stop flight from Siberia to the United States. The Buriat refueled their plane on an uninhabited Cape Navarin island and radioed plans toward Seattle or Tokyo. Weather delays near Navarin Island could keep the attempt on hold.
London Sept 17 Sir Austen Chamberlain announced in the house of commons that any further British seamen who refuse orders will be dealt with under the navy discipline act. The warning came amid unrest in the Atlantic fleet at Invergordon over government pay cuts.
William R. Webb and Mike Lacey were arrested at 2408 Princeton Avenue and held for questioning in the Sheridan State Bank robbery on Sept 4. They deny involvement, say they were out of state, and will be taken to Virginia City as investigation continues. An automobile tied to Lacey is held. witnesses identified Webb as resembling the bandit. Police pressed forward with fingerprint work and photo comparisons.

Helena Sept 17 Since the first of this month Montana's principal highway system has added 41 miles of new graded road and 52 miles of gravel surfacing along with several bridges. Completed projects include White Sulphur Springs to Great Falls and Ringling north, widening and surfacing Philipsburg Drummond, with grading and surfacing on multiple segments.

J B Ben Gannon a former Central high school student and Mount St Charles college graduate will be the new physical director of the Knights of Columbus gymnasium announced yesterday. He succeeds Larry Manion who resigned to pursue further education. Gannon is a Butte native who attended local schools and finished at Mount St Charles college with five years experience at Helena school as a recreational director.
Montana's first steel plant, once hoped for Butte, may move to Fergus county as investors push Lewistown site plans. Milton R Wise of Lewistown promotes the idea, with data gathered in Butte and talks with Carl J Trauerman, Montana Stock and Bond president, as he returns from an east trip.
