Another $800000000 bank formed in New York merger
The Equitable Trust company and the Seaboard National bank merged to form a new bank valued at 800 million dollars. Eight New York offices are planned with four more to open soon. The combined group already operates across major U S cities and has international branches in London Paris Mexico City Hong Kong Shanghai and Tientsin. Arthur W Loasby leads the new board after serving as president of the Equitable Trust company since 190? and starting banking in 1895.
