Presidential candidate Al Smith will spend one hour in Butte on September 25 from 1 to 2 p m, revised schedule shows. The change surprised Smith supporters and state officials who expected a longer stop, with Helena arrival now likely around 4 p m for the state fair grounds appearance.

The confession follows earlier testimony by Sanford Clark, a 15 year old boy who witnessed the slaying of a miner and a boy. The elder Northcott’s account adds details about gold and the killings.
Pat Sidley of 3015 Sheridan avenue was arrested after a south Arizona street crash damaged a parked car owned by Mrs. William Green and shattered plate glass at a soft drink parlor at 559 South Arizona. Sidley was booked at the county jail and later released on orders of the county attorney.
