Plans Laid for Balloting to End Long Butte Strike
Preliminaries for a referendum vote by the International Mine Mill and Smeltermen unions of Butte Great Falls and Anaconda have been arranged with the Anaconda company to end the strike. Voting times are set in each city with Butte and Anaconda from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Great Falls from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. If the agreement is adopted the strike will end and production will resume, with notice served to the company likely next Tuesday.
