Miss Weltz Held on Murder Charge in Grace Slaying
Santa Cruz California September 14 Miss Wilhelmina Weltz a 43 year old nurse admitted she stalked Francis J M Grace a retired capitalist for 18 months to kill him. She stood silent at the preliminary hearing as witnesses described the fatal shooting at Grace summer home on Beach Hill last Saturday night. Her brother and sister William and Meta Weltz arrived from Connellsville Pennsylvania and attended court. Defense attorney Stanford Smith said Weltz has told him the reason for the slaying and will disclose it at the proper time. She has not given any reason to authorities.
