Blank checks stolen from Butte firm cashed for over
Four of six blank checks stolen from the Merriam Mill and Construction company at 540 South Main Street were converted into cash totaling more than 200 dollars. Police were notified by Leslie Merriam. The loss was found when vouchers arrived. A store clerk described the man cashing the checks as about 40, tall, heavy, dark and wearing a green jacket.
