John O Neill of 120 Jay Street sustained a deep scalp wound requiring 15 stitches when cars driven by Pasty Rashleigh and Mike Sullivan crashed on the road from Walkerville to Big Butte yesterday evening. O Neill, a passenger, was treated at St. James Hospital where doctors reported the skull not fractured though the bone was exposed over ten inches and the temporal muscle severed. Rashleigh and Sullivan escaped with minor injuries and a third passenger was unhurt.
