Dispute Over Public Status Of County Road No 9 Continues
In Deer Lodge Powell County contends County Road No 9 known as West Side Road is public while Rock Creek Cattle Co argues it is not. The federal case involves Grant Kohrs Ranch and the Old Yellowstone Trail with Rock Creek appealing a judge's July ruling that allowed trail construction to proceed. The trail remains open though bicycles are restricted on the ranch section.
