Fire destroys Northern hotel in Billings blaze
Firemen fought a five and a half hour fire that destroyed the Northern hotel in Billings on Sept. 11. The four story hotel built in 1902 at a cost of 600000 housed about 75 guests with 200 rooms. flames also damaged nearby shops and a drug store. Two firemen were injured, and officials said guests and staff escaped safely.
