Train Crash Near Sparta Injures Dozen
In dense fog near Sparta Wisconsin the westbound Northwestern Limited rear ended the Victory Limited. Three people were hospitalized and 15 to 20 others suffered cuts and bruises. The trains paused at a trestle over Lemon Wire Creek where guards had posted after four days of heavy rain. Cousin of Britain's King Prince Arthur Dies in Sleep

Delegates Return From Montana Democratic Convention
Delegates from Silver Bow county arrived home after the Montana state Democratic convention in Billings. About 500 party workers attended, with Arthur Lamey elected state central committee chairman. Insects Feed on Body of Youth Paralyzed in Fall
Hartsell McCain, 20, of Atkins, fell from a 30 foot cliff into a remote Arkansas canyon on September 2 and lay paralyzed for eight days while insects fed on him.
