Montana Tech hosts Trio summer program students trip to DC
Twenty high school students from Butte Anaconda and Helena completed a five week TRIO Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math and Science program at Montana Tech. They earned $100 weekly for research and then toured Washington DC visiting American University George Washington University and Georgetown University. It marked first flights and escalators for many as they explored urban campus settings and presented research at a symposium.
