He blamed McGovern for misrepresenting facts and asserted his own role in negotiating the Russian deal.
Gallup data show 61 percent of under 30 registered voters backing Nixon vs 36 percent for McGovern. The younger group of 221 in a 1,203 voter sample indicates shifts since August, with Nixon leading among manual workers Catholics and labor union members. The poll cautions the race remains undecided.
