Deliberate air attack sinks US freighter Seafarer
A Steel Seafarer crewman said the Red Sea bombing was a deliberate strike on an unmistakably identified United States merchantman. Twenty four survivors reached a British port. 12 were taken by a Danish freighter. The ship sank after a single bomber attack at 11 39 p m Friday, with no major injuries reported among the crew.

Schools will close four days that week. two new grade school teachers were hired Marjorie Hawke and Herman Gebbrecht. Allan Thompson became high school stadium caretaker.
