Silver Bow County shows a registration drop from 22 035 to 19 617 for the Sept 14 con con primary lowering turnout prospects. Registration closed Aug 5, leaving voters with limited control over the crucial constitutional convention vote.
Detroit doctors say a 60 second ice water immersion test can identify hardening of the arteries in hypertension patients. Dr. Ignatios J. Voudoukis of Wayne State University and Hutzel Hospital claims the cold pressor test distinguishes between high blood pressure with and without arterial hardening, guiding safer treatment.
The Alaska Airlines jet collided with a mountainside near Juneau, killing all 111 aboard. Capt. Richard Adams 41, of Redmond Washington, was in control as air traffic advised lowering from 12 000 feet before contact was lost. The crash is described by officials as the worst U S aviation disaster to date.
Houston fireman David L. Sharp, 27, spotted smoke early and ran through a two story frame building waking residents and alerting dispatch.
