A six hundred pound safe was dragged from the Petersen and Johnston Construction Co. office on St Ann Avenue near Continental Drive but was not opened. Officers said the safe contained few valuables beyond papers. several tools, a realty company check, and a desk drawer were stolen.

Two Dillon residents were slightly injured in a Sunday morning auto accident at the top of Moose Creek Hill on the Butte Dillon Highway. Lorraine Barney suffered a bruised shoulder while Dale E Nudsen was admitted to St James Hospital for observation before being released. The car was badly damaged after reportedly overturning twice on the hill.
