Melbeerin Gulch School replica at World Museum of Mining
The World Museum of Mining opened a restored one room schoolhouse moved from near the leg Pit. Dale Williams says the project took three years to clear dirt and remove interior walls. Inside are 1900 era books, a teacher’s desk, a blackboard, a Jefferson School curtain, a map of Montana and a flag. Mining hours run 9 to 9 through Sept 15 and 9 to 5 in winter. Mondays closed.
