Alaska Airlines jet crashes in Tongass mountains near Juneau
A 109 passenger jetliner crashed in heavy rain into the Chilkoot Mountains about 20 miles west of Juneau Alaska Airlines reports no survivors and Coast Guard teams race to the scene at the 2 500 foot level. Wreckage of Alaska Airlines flight 1866 found one mile east of Teardrop Lake in the southern Chilkoot range.

Seven members of a family gunned down in Phoenix shooting
