Man Charged With Using Live Bait in Hunting Training
About 50 year old Joe Cavill of 2131 Harvard Avenue was arrested Wednesday on a misdemeanor charge of promoting a fight between animals by using live crippled pigeons as bait for hunting dogs. Undersheriff Brasier signed the complaint. three dead pigeons were found by a South Montana street pond. Cavill posted no bond. Justice J J McNamara set a September 10 jury trial with a $500 bond.
