Washington dispatches report Graf Zeppelin in mid Atlantic two thousand miles from Azores as American ships receive its radio messages. The dirigible shows remains on course despite gales forcing Captain Lehmann to circle south of the Azores.
James Thomas of Butte positively identified Joe Brennan Tom Martini and Bobby Kelley as the trio that accosted him on the Butte Anaconda highway August 21. They bound him gagged him and robbed his car before escape. The woman in white and Mrs Joe Brennan of Anaconda are also in custody in Helena on related charges. Miss Kelly, a Helena underworld figure and former rooming house proprietor, is expected to be transferred to Anaconda to face highway robbery charges. Continued on Page 16 Col 2.
Fire destroyed two three story rooming houses and a two story frame building at 328 334 336 East Park Street leaving more than 40 roomers homeless. The blaze started in a garage in the basement of 330 East Park Street and spread after an explosion heard by tenants. Firemen fought the flames over three hours as wind carried fire to nearby structures. Audrey Estrada reported gasoline fumes in the building for an hour before the explosion.
A car veered onto a guard rail on the Butte Meaderville highway killing Miss Katherine Reed 25 of Billings. J F E Thompson 30 and Theodore Britten of Butte were among the injured with Thompson in critical condition at Murray hospital. Police cited limited details and no eyewitnesses as the vehicle’s speed was estimated at 60 to 70 mph.
Central Press map depicts rioting between Arabs and Orthodox Jews across Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Nablus and other towns. It notes British warships Courages Barham and Sussex sent from Malta to Jaffa as Hebron hosts Slaboka Rabbinical College where Americans died defending the institution.
Roundup report says Barney Benson, a coal miner, shot and killed his foster parents Mars Severson and Mrs Severson, then killed his sister in law Garry Baker and his wife and then killed himself after a quarrel with his wife. Four children were left orphans. Benson died at Musselshell hospital.

Martin himself evacuated relatives to safety before flames closed in.
Thousands of Butte residents deserted homes to celebrate Labor Day. At Columbia Gardens the Silver Bow Trades and Labor council staged a large program while Gregson Springs hosted an aerial show and sport activities. Over 7,000 people from diverse communities enjoyed picnics and outings in the city’s Labor Day celebration.
A destitute father with nine children and a brother in law traveled in a crowded 1914 Model T from Cedar Rapids to seek food and shelter, ending up in Butte County Jail for temporary aid. He counted noses to reveal the family size, aging from two and a half to 26, and admitted miscounting. The group departed Cedar Rapids May 13 en route to Bakersfield, California.
Diario De Lisboa reports the washed up body of a fair haired youth in a yellow rubber suit and aviation goggles, found on Ericeira beach, possibly one of two Swiss youths who began an Atlantic crossing on August 19.

Frank Pestotnik aged 50 shot and killed his wife Bell 47 and daughter Mary 16 then killed himself with a shotgun in Boone Iowa. He was said to be despondent over financial troubles.
British aviators patrol Palestine to deter Arab tribesmen from Syria and Transjordan. Rioting between Arabs and Jews has cost over 200 lives. Chancellor’s high-commissioner leaflets urge calm and suspend constitutional talks, prompting reactions from both sides.
William B. Orem, 59, once Montana's mining inspector, died at St. James hospital after injuring himself a week earlier on his Woodin ranch while lifting a wagon. Born in Corinne Utah in 1871, he was known as Billy Orem across Montana.
Butte parochial grade schools the Christian Brothers and Girls' Central high schools open today marking the start of the new term. Freshmen at Butte high school begin with assignment of studies and advanced instruction while regular classes at all schools start Wednesday. Public elementary schools and Butte high's regular session resume next Monday.
