Reverend Beretta Finds Solace in Montana Retreats

The Rev. Patrick Beretta of the Helena Diocese moved from Southern California to a high elevation assignment in Butte. He enjoys solitude at Thompson Park Seeley Lake Salmon Lake and the Madison Valley with his dogs Cleo and Tristan English mastiffs. He spends an hour daily in prayer and says he would have pursued writing or winemaking if not called to the priesthood. He urges people to follow their bliss and ignore it too much.

Federal workers face unpaid furloughs amid looming shutdown
