Bernard Anthony Friez 12, of 821 E Park Anaconda died after a rifle discharged while William Southwick 19 adjusted a scope at 208 Washington. The shot hit the boy on Washington Street as he biked through an alley near noon Saturday. Southwick said a slipped finger caused the discharge. an autopsy is planned. Voters reject South Side school site proposal
In a low turnout vote 2,819 of about 19,000 registered citizens defeated the proposed school site on the city’s South Side by 2,016 to 803. Precinct 7 gave all four voters a no vote. Gary Skuletich 20 of 1314 W Gold was unconscious in St Patrick area Missoula ICU after a Saturday crash. He allegedly drove east on Marcia Farragut intersection when Nye 42 drove south on Farragut causing the collision. Skuletich was taken to Silver Bow General then transferred to Missoula. Nye and other vehicle occupants had minor injuries and were released.
