Man Found Dying From Poison Dose
William Coughlin aged 41 of 227 East Granite street was found dying on a porch at 223 East Granite street the home of William Rabey. A bottle labeled cyanide potassium was nearby. He died after being taken to St James hospital by sheriffs deputies. Coughlin is survived by a sister Nell Coughlin and a brother and sister in law Mr and Mrs Raughlin of Seattle. Coroner Mike is investigating whether an inquest will be held.

Youth badly hurt as boiler explodes at federal building
Wilfred Van der Kooi, 18, of Ogden Utah, is in serious condition at St James hospital after a steam boiler he was operating at the federal building exploded. He suffered a broken left leg and state of shock. The blast blew the boiler above the post office height, drew a crowd, and he was taken by police ambulance. He works for his father H P Van der Kooi who cleans the stone work on the old post office section.

Army Officer Who Figured in Montana Adventure Dies
Brigadier General Charles H. Whipple, 83, retired Army officer famed for West frontier exploits, died of pneumonia in Hollywood after returning from Brooklyn. Born 1849 in Adams New York, he earlier worked as paymaster for the Northern Pacific and cashier in Faribault.
