Dillon May 20 Special The annual summer roundup of preschool children will be held at Barrett hospital next Tuesday morning June 5 under the Dillon Parent-Teacher association. Children ages 2 to 6 will be examined by local physicians. If transportation to the hospital is desired, parents may call County Nurse Wella Stickney or Mrs George M Gokman.
A sedan driven by L. Martnell of Idaho Falls crashed through a detour barrier at the end of North Montana street and into a tele phone pole across the pavement. The car was damaged but occupants escaped injury. Miss Mildreel A. Buckneberg left for Keene North Dakota for the sun nor. Mrs. Williast Steele and Mrs. D. M. Steele left for Hatley Idaho to spend the holiday. The River of Medicine Lodge spent yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Metzel of Alda were visitors to the city. Aarold Murray returned from Wise River where he had been working on highway construction.

The couple honeymooned in California and returned to Heleyot.
Deer Lodge will observe Memorial Day by closing all stores and business houses tomorrow. Special services begin at 10:00 AM on the courthouse lawn with patriotic organizations, Boy and Girl Scouts, school bands, and Deer Lodge schools students participating. Ex-service men to assemble at 8:45 AM for positions in the parade led by Maurice Dietrich.
Mrs Curtin Lees of Butte visits Deer Lodge this week. Miss Melba Denneys holiday in Helena. Mr and Mrs J W Schlatterer return from a month trip to Toronto and the midwest. Mrs Fred Friday of Spokane guests here for a few days.

Washington May 78 Charges of political activities ousted Treasury agents in Philadelphia with President Roosevelt's approval. Secretary Morgenthau suspended Alvin P Fix Philadelphia internal revenue collector and five employees in his office. The suspension cited solicitation of political funds on federal premises.
In Tacoma on May 29 a strike committee representing 16 Pacific Northwest ports announced plans for a separate federation of all Pacific coast maritime workers. The move follows rejection of peace proposals offered by San Francisco arbiters despite endorsement by ILP president Joseph P Ryat. Details of the federation were not disclosed. A second note reports Mrs Oliver R Brien reporting the theft of a car from 626 West Broadway yesterday afternoon.
Butte residents gather for a citywide memorial honoring veterans. Van Orden will preside as master of ceremonies with Howard A. Johnson of the American Legion delivering remarks. A drill, musical numbers, a parade forming at the courthouse proceeds through the business district, then to cemeteries. Marchers include G A R units, Pythians, relief groups, veterans organizations, drum corps, Boy Scouts, and auxiliary groups. A plane will shower nappies over the Legion plot, followed by luncheon and program in Patriot hall.

Peter G. Wagner of Brooklyn sues Long Island University and former dean Dr. George R. Hardie for 25000 claiming two years on campus were a total loss. Wagner testified he enrolled to pursue pre medical studies but after two years could not gain admission to medical college and wasted the time.
A judgment of non-suit was entered against the plaintiff in the action of the Muller Insurance Agency versus Home Fire and Marine Insurance in district court yesterday. Judge Frank Riley presided. the suit sought more than $100 in damages for alleged fault and breach of contract.
Mrs A Kovacich is a patient at Murray hospital. Rebecca Harris at 1620 Stewart receives treatment at Murray hospital. Mrs Pearl Marchiando of 4 North Washington left Murray hospital for home yesterday. Dismissals include Mrs D E Deneen of 301 West Granite and Airs Mch Ting of 1808 Garfield.
The graduating class includes a Butte resident still in a law partnership with his brother Senator Tom Walker. W. Milton Brown, registrar, notes students hail from fourteen cities across six states with many expected to graduate. Masters candidates list Gerhard Grassmilleck Dessau Germany and several from Lafayette College Duke University and University of Wisconsin among others. bachelor candidates include Thomas W. Page Albemarle Virginia and William P. Given Portland Oregon.
Fifty seven graduates enjoyed a day at Gregson Springs with swimming sports and a dinner in the study hall. Examinations concluded yesterday for all classes and credits will be issued tomorrow as teachers bid farewell until September.
