E I Renouard Elected Anaconda Company Vice President in the West
Edward I. Renouard, longtime manager of mines in Butte since 1952, was elected vice president in charge of Western operations of The Anaconda Company. He succeeds the late Chester H. Steele and becomes the first native Montanan to hold the West post. Renouard, born May 31, 1898 in Butte, has a long mining career from Badger Mine to Mountain Con and rose to general superintendent before his 1952 appointment. He is active civically and holds multiple honors. he and wife Agnes Nevin have five children and nine grandchildren.
