Msgr Hunthausen to Speak at Boys Central Exercises
The Rt. Rev. Msgr Raymond Hunthausen president of Carroll College Helena will speak at the 33rd commencement exercises of Boys Central High School in Columbia Gardens pavilion at 8 p.m. Wednesday May 27. The class of 101 will receive diplomas from Rev Brother C A O Donnell with diplomas conferred by Rt Rev D P Meade. An academic procession will precede the ceremony with the junior class forming an honor guard. The valedictory will be by Anthony Sutey and salutatorian Antone Grosso.

Stockmen Adopt 26 Resolutions at Mile City Convention
At the Montana Stockgrowers Association four day Miles City convention 1700 stockmen approved 26 resolutions including a study of state grazing land value before changing the 1951 rental formula and reducing five million dollars from the national brucellosis eradication program. They urged a cheaper method to maintain brucellosis free certification in tested areas for economy in government. The event marked the 75th anniversary of the group with Miles City preparing the celebration.

Daylight Time Begins In Butte And Anaconda Next Weekend
Montana's two cities Butte and Anaconda switch to daylight saving time next weekend with clocks set forward on Sunday May 31 at midnight to 1 a.m. The Anaconda Company operations shift to daylight time on Monday June 1 from 6 a.m. standard to 7 a.m. daylight. Daylight time ends September 13 at midnight.

Wallace A. O'Brien and Clinton L. Miller will receive professional degrees at the Montana School of Mines 59th commencement on June 8. O'Brien, a Butte resident, is a mines geologist with The Anaconda Company after a career starting as a miner in 1917 and advancing to geologist. he earned his geological engineering degree in 1923. Miller, a 1947 graduate, earned a bachelor of science in mining engineering and pursued further work in civil engineering and labor studies.

Montana Traffic Toll Rises to 64 in 1959 Fatal Crash
Mrs. Ernest Copenhaver 37 wife of Joplin schools superintendent died in Great Falls after a Thursday night crash 142 miles north of Joplin. Her three children escaped with minor injuries. Bert Alley from Joplin was not seriously hurt. The death raised Montana's 1959 toll to 64 with 20 highway deaths this month versus seven in early May.

Jacob Thorkelson a 19 year old Gonzaga student drowned April 19 when a raft overturned downstream from Nine Mile Dam. Albert Monck of Moses Lake was recovered days earlier in the same area. Thorkelson of Butte born 1940 will be taken to White's funeral home for services at St Joseph Church Holy Cross cemetery interment Rosary at White's Drawing Room Sunday night.

Miami detectives seized a car carrying 5000 rounds of ammunition machetes and field tents and jailed driver Aroldo Fernandez Lieges 23. Customs agents found a C47 plane at Miami International Airport loaded with arms for anti Castro forces in the Dominican Republic amid a wider roundup of 13 people including the Dominican Republic consul general.
