Washington May 22 An effort to move immigration restriction on Mexicans before adjournment gained House Immigration Committee approval of a revised Senate bill to place southern republic immigration under the quota system. Chairman Johnson said he would seek a special rule for House consideration, but chances of floor action before adjournment were uncertain. The bill would cap yearly entries at 1200 to 1900 Mexicans.
