Arthur King a 45 year old Miami Beach jewelry retailer was overpowered bound and robbed of 75 000 to 100 000 dollars worth gems aboard a New York to Chicago train. Courageous Butte Boy Rescued From Old Mine Shaft
Michael Hinch eight year old son of Mr and Mrs Michael Schneider Williams burg fell 20 to 25 feet into an abandoned mine shaft on hillside near his home. He was pulled to surface by his stepfather and neighbor S T Carkeek and admitted to St James Hospital for observation. Miles City Boy Drowns in Pit
Nine year old Sigrid Mortenson was found drowned Saturday afternoon in an old water filled gravel pit on the northern outskirts of Miles City. Deputy Sheriff William Damm located the body at 2:25 p.m. about eight feet from the edge of the pit where the water was six to eight feet deep. Parents Carl and Mrs Mortenson reported him missing Friday after he left to go fishing at around 4 p.m. Authorities believe he wandered into the pit while unable to swim. This drowning marks the 11th in Montana this year.
