Bozeman Boy Dies in Accidental Hanging Near Bear Canyon

Michael Duggleby age seven died Thursday afternoon southeast of Bozeman when a cord around his neck caught on barbed wire as he crawled through a fence in Bear Canyon. He was the son of Rev. and Mrs. Wayne Duggleby. His twin David Peter was killed in 1962 in a two car crash near Sheridan. Also killed that day was 4 year old Joan Hilde. Authorities say the boy slipped and the cord caught on the fence after he picked up a blue cord with companions nearby. The trustees of School Dist. reviewed a 5.74 percent bid on a school bond sale, the low bid from a consortium led by Northern Trust Co.
