Boy Dies When He Runs Back Into Burning House
In Spokane on May 16 a two year old boy named Jimmy Campbell died when he rushed back into his burning home to rescue a toy. His mother Mrs Maxine Campbell aged 23 grabbed a two month old baby and herself fled as flames grew. Firemen said Jimmy escaped briefly then reentered the blaze and disappeared in a sheet of flame. His body was recovered on a davenport.

Edward Phelan of Spokane died Friday night when his car left the Butte Helena highway near Elk Park and plunged down an embankment. State Patrolman Albert Boehme reported the wreck to Butte police. The car was badly wrecked with only Phelan aboard. Jefferson County Coroner Kyle Scott was summoned to the scene.

Hospital Attendant Dies After Fall at Montana State Hospital
Davis Lee Monarch a 46 year old attendant at the Montana State hospital in Warm Springs died Friday night from injuries after falling down a flight of stairs in the Warren building. Coroner Leo Scalise said the fall appeared accidental and no inquest was immediately planned. Monarch born in Great Falls is survived by his wife.
